For us, this is an overnight stop [which was how we rated it] and not a destination resort campground but it is a great overnight stop in a world of marginal overnight stops! Right off [and visible from] Route 95 with easy access in and out. Fast and friendly registration and assistance to the site. Our site was long, level and wide with all services we were able to stay hooked up and did not have to spend any time trying to level. We didn't use the restrooms, but the laundry was the nicest we have ever experienced. A great overnight stop but don't plan on sleeping with the windows open, there is highway and railway noise that you will not hear with the air conditioner on.

This was a tough park to come up with a rating for. It is an older park and was designed for small trailers and tents. There are limited sites for larger units, and the access to some of those sites is difficult due to road design, trees and limbs. I also would not want to try and get into the park after dark for a first time stay....very tight roads. Registration does not allow you to pre-select your site...so there is no telling what you will get when you arrive...and you have to take the tour through the narrow roads to find an open site. We stayed off season, arriving on a weekend, and there were no registration people on duty all weekend...a real mess when, after we got setup on our site, we were eventually told that we would have to move at the end of the week as they were closing that loop....not real people friendly, although they did right by us after some discussion. Having said all that, we were on site G-6 and had to work to get a 32' fifth wheel into it, but once into it, it was a great site...very large, very private and a view of the Chesapeake out the back window. Good water and 50 amp service. Bath houses are newer and nice....we wouldn't go back, but if you were tenting or in a smaller rig, this might be a good spot for you.

Overall, this is a real nice place. We stayed here off season and were located waterfront on the sound side of the park. Fantastic views of Pamlico Sound which is a wide open body of water between the Cape and mainland with much kite boarding and windsurfing activity. This is one very windy place! We almost had the entire area to ourselves due to the time of year. It would be fairly close during busy season, but as previously mentioned, that is to be expected for the area. There are no water view sites on the ocean side....but beach is just over the dunes. Real nice outdoor pool, and ok indoor pool and hot tub. Wi-fi is very good, as is cable tv. It was irritating to be charged an extra $3 a day for a dog AND an extra $3 daily for cable!!! My only other negative comment is the lack of security on the sound side of the campground. The beach side, where the office is, is restricted by a coded gate....but the sound side is wide open. There is golf cart security, and it isn't exactly a high crime area, but for the money i expect some better security.

We stayed here for an overnight on the way to FL from NH. Easy access from interstate. Very clean, spacious and well kept park with a lovely stream, fishing, swimming and boating. We had a level pull-thru site with W/E/S and cable. Free WiFi with good strong signal. Although we did not use restrooms and facilities, there is no doubt that they were spotless based upon our observations of the rest of the park. We will return and use tis park as a base to check out Mystic Seaport, CT casinos and the general area. A little pricey, but sometimes you get what you pay for. ALSO, open all year....we always have trouble finding something in the area March and November. This is a great location and park.

We stayed on one of their eight premium oceanfront sites, and in terms of spectacular views, it was the best site we have ever had...and we have had some nice ones. Great view, ocean breeze and buoy bell ringing through the night. Sites not designated as premium oceanfront will have views...however slight...but all are close to the ocean and benefit from the great breezes. Although the sites are fairly close, they are not as packed in as many private campgrounds [we usually prefer the space of state parks]. The park is clean and well kept, and most definitely adult oriented. Restrooms are spotless. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, and while there is no sewer on site, they pump you out on Monday and Thursday. WiFi is available at the office only, and although there is no cable this year, they will be installing cable for the next camping season. There is virtually no TV over the air in that area. Kayak right from the beach, and swim if you like in the cold water! This is now one of our annual stops...don't miss it.

This just is not a travel oriented park...mostly run down seasonal sites. They do have 6 or 7 fairly new pull through sites with 50 amp, cable and water, but the one we were on needed three inches of leveling on one side to get even close. It did have good power. Interior roads are very tight and not particularly smooth. Trees tight to road on tight curves with plenty of indications of prior RV collisions...not big rig friendly. Pulling in at 8 pm in the dark after a LONG day....would drive till midnight before we stopped here again. PS...their web site lists them as being on the largest lake in Vermont. I always thought that was Lake Champlain. Their waterfront is mostly marsh.

If you want to be close to Quebec City, it is. If you want a quiet and relaxing spot, it isn't. The campground is right off of the main highway, and the swimming pool has a great view of said highway and the also has all of the attendant noise. The site setup is pretty standard KOA... just super jam packed. Don't get me wrong, it was clean and in good repair, but it was just a parking lot with trees. Having said that, access to downtown Quebec was pretty easy...about 20 minutes by car. We would not necessarily stay there again, but if you want a place to home base from, it would be ok. They did have a cool wood delivery guy in a golf cart that came around every night selling firewood!

We stayed at this park to be close to Montreal, and were very pleasantly surprised. The park is beautiful and is the most nicely landscaped park we have ever visited. A large number of the sites are seasonal, but are not what you would expect to see in a seasonal park...this place is very classy. Seasonals here are full timers that winter in the south and summer in the north. The park is a great choice if visiting Montreal as it is near the train station...and also on the bus line to the train station. Very nice free form pool, herb garden for spicing up your dinner and extremely clean facilities.
